  1. Youth rugby in Aberdeen City is back!

    Aberdeen Grammar are continuing with their alliance with Aberdeen Wanderers as Granite City Rugby this season in the SRU youth club conference system. The Under 18s are currently training on a Tuesday and Thursday between 7:00pm and 8:30pm at Groats Road, while the Under 13s to Under 16s are currently training on a Thursday between 7:00pm and 8:00pm and a Sunday between 10:00 and 11:30am at Westhill Academy Playing fields.

    All new and existing players are welcome!

  2. How to Join

    Aberdeen Rugby are always happy to welcome new players to our club.

    Our training sessions are held on Sunday mornings at Rubislaw playing fields in Aberdeen – timings and age groups are as follows:

    Micro primary 1-3 (tag rugby only)
    10.00 – 11.30

    Mini section primary 4-7  (introduction to contact rugby)
    10.00 -11.30

    Sections S1 to U18 now potentially play matches on a Sunday morning in the SRU Red Conference League. The fixture list is shown in the “Junior” page. When fixtures are not on training times are as follows:

    S1 and S2
    12.00 – 14:00

    U15 and U16
    12.00-14.00

    These times may vary, – please contact respective coach.

    Any interested player can just turn up on a Sunday and join in a session.
    A Membership Form will be required to be submitted thereafter. We ask that this is completed asap so that players can be registered without delay so that issues such as insurance are covered.

    Note: Player’s fees can be delayed for a couple of sessions to ensure that the child enjoys it and wishes to return on a regular basis.

    All players except those in the micro section must have a mouth guard – they will not be allowed to play without it.

    No experience is necessary although in the older sections (S1 and above) inclusion in a competitive match may be delayed until the coach feels that the child is ready to cope in these situations.

  3. Mini Schedule Update May 2016

    As another successful season draws to a close for the Minis Section we would like to say a big thank you to all the parents for their support this year.

    Have a great summer away from the touchlines and we’ll see you refreshed and raring to go on 20th August 2016.
